During the summer I try (not always successfully) to grow zucchini. If I don’t have a good crop, there is always someone who has tons of it to share. I will usually grate it and then freeze for use later. So I pulled a bag of the frozen zucchini out and thawed it to see if the dogs would like it.
Zucchini is another low fat healthy option to add to the dogs food. It has Vitamin A, some of the B vitamins, vitamin C, potassium and magnesium. It’s a good source of fiber too.
They ate it right up. No hesitation. I think they are really enjoying all the different additions to their food. They eagerly wait while I fix their bowls for each meal.
How’s it going for you? Are you trying some of the human foods with your dogs? Tell me your experiences.
Terri
