Day 27 – Acorn Squash

Today’s addition is Acorn Squash.  I baked it in the oven for 35 minutes at 400 degrees and then scraped it out of the skin for the dogs.  I didn’t add anything to it because they don’t need the extra spices.    I gave the big guys 2 tablespoons each and the little guy about 2 teaspoons.  I don’t want to give them too much while we are experimenting so as not to upset their stomachs.

The benefits of acorn squash are that they are loaded with Vitamins A, C, E and B6. It also has calcium, magnesium, and potassium.  And tons of dietary fiber.

Have you tried any of the other squashes with your dog?  How did it go?

    1. I don’t get a whole bunch at this point. I just carefully read all the comments before approving and/or replying to them. If I get to that point and I have to find something, I will definitely let you know.
